Journalist Visas, J-Visa
China Journalist Visas (J-Visa) are reserved for persons traveling to China for purpose of
reporting news or creating a media report. Journalists entering China for general travel will be issued a
L-Visa and unable to report or cover news events.
J-Visa Required Documents
- Original, Undamaged Passport - Valid 6-Mos Beyond your expected return date. Two free visa pages (page 23 + 24 do not count)
- 2x2 Visa Formatted Color Photo, Taped or Stapled to Application.
- Employer Letter - From your employer on company letterhead and
illustrating the reason and purpose for your media business in China, the number of entries
requested, and how many days they are requesting you to stay in China.
- Invitation from Duly Authorized Unit – Official Letter from the
Chinese government branch officially inviting you. Photocopy & Original.
- Airline Flight Itinerary - Photocopy of your flight schedule in
and out of China.
Application Procedure

- Choose a service level and Return Shipping w/ tracking.
- Print your Documents, Sign & Date.
- Mail your Original Passport, Application Document (2-Pages) with Visa Formatted Photo Stapled to the Application in the Appropriate Area,
and your payment to the mailing address indicated in your confirmation email.

Status of your Visa
Application Online at any time.
